LegendCorp Announces Acquisition of CANSYS Incorporated
LegendCorp is very pleased to announce that it has completed an agreement to
acquire CANSYS Incorporated as of January 1, 2006.
LegendCorp, located in Toronto, Ontario, is a Microsoft Premier Gold Partner certified in five competencies including
Security, Advanced Infrastructure, Networking Infrastructure, Information Worker
and Business Intelligence Solutions. CANSYS Incorporated, also in Toronto, is a
leading provider of the Microsoft Dynamics SL Accounting solution in Canada.
The
combined capabilities of the firms will allow LegendCorp to provide a full Microsoft
service stack offering to its clients.
"For the past two years our firms have been
working together on the creation of a Project Management Web Portal product called
PSA One. During this time we have found that there are many synergies between our
organizations and thus decided to formalize our relationship”, said Andy Papadopoulos,
President of LegendCorp.
Biggest winner: the client
"CANSYS was acquired for their
deep subject matter expertise in the professional services sector and the business
consulting experience of their team. We now can take that expertise and apply it
to the Integrated Innovation segment (IW, EPM, and BI) of our business.” commented
Andy Papadopoulos.
"We believe this will be a very beneficial transition for our
customers,” advised Kevin Oakes, former Director at CANSYS. “Our firm will now be
able to provide a full range of IT services. Until now, CANSYS has provided direct
implementation support for Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon,) and at times we would
assist customers to find expert resources for other Microsoft products. They will
now be able to access support through one common partner – LegendCorp. As well,
with their established expertise in other Microsoft platform areas LegendCorp will
be able to provide new insight for our customers in areas that CANSYS could not.”
Under the terms of the agreement, all current CANSYS employees and contracted consultants
will be transitioned to become part of the LegendCorp Microsoft Dynamics Business
Unit, managed by Oakes. This ensures a consistent interface for customers so that
the transition is as smooth as possible.
As part of the transition, the existing
CANSYS offices will be relocated to Mississauga in Q2 2006 and will serve as a new
LegendCorp “west” location. At the same time a presence will also be established
in Montreal.
“LegendCorp’s commitment to Microsoft and our client base is that we
work across the Microsoft Stack to drive Integrated Innovation.”, adds Papadopoulos.
“This great news continues that commitment.”
