To solve performance problems, you need to know how your network is really behaving under normal day-to-day activity. You cannot properly assess a network with a one-hour visit. You must use several days of real stats from your environment, because some days can be worse than others. This is why we designed the LegendCorp Performance Review Package.

Our process collects actual data from your network during real-time operation. Armed with these statistics, we can understand exactly what is going on.

With a LegendCorp Performance Review Package, you will know the exact cause of poor performance and understand your options.

The Process

First, a LegendCorp technician will meet with you to discuss your concerns about your system. LegendCorp will work with you to develop a project plan that will best identify your problem areas. A typical project involves 4 steps.

Understanding your Requirements

• Sit with you and discuss your network, how it is used, and any issues you've had to date.
• Understand your future plans and expectations for your network.
• Inspect your current network infrastructure.
• Conduct a systems audit on all major servers and system components.

Statistics Gathering

• Install or enable performance tools on the major system components.
• Install a LegendCorp monitoring system to gather performance statistics. Using a separate machine minimizes the impact of statistics gathering.
• Start monitoring and allow to run for several days. During this period you will need to make a record of any issues that arise. We also ask you to track reports that are run.
• Record statistical data and remove LegendCorp monitoring system from the network.
• Document existing server configuration/patch levels.
• Review network security.

Analyzing the Results

• Review and analyze the results collected.
• Prepare a report of findings and recommended solutions.

Reviewing the results

• Together we will review the report findings and solutions.
• Discuss next steps, to help you get everything you need to implement the solutions.

The Results

What you will receive is a detailed report of your current system. Items in this report include:

• A diagram of your current network infrastructure.
• A system inventory of the current devices on your system, with current hardware and software levels indicated.
• A report on the analyzed performance data collected in a language that you can understand. Although the information is technical in nature, you will understand what’s going on without a lot of techno-babble.
• Recommendations of how to best resolve any issues discovered, based on what you have told us is important.
